Yugoslav socialism on film is a research and educational project aimed at reviewing and rearticulating the historical conditions of production, distribution and reception of Yugoslav film heritage. The project is dedicated to a review of Yugoslav films that, according to their approach to social reality of the first two phases of Yugoslav self-governing socialism, are emerging as a method of a new perception of the diversification of the self-managing socialist society of Yugoslavia. The project consists of research and an open public program structured around five concepts, which are held from September to December 2017 in the form of monthly public events and film programming with invited lecturers.
Research and educational project Yugoslav socialism on film is organized by the Transimage and Rosa Luxemburg Stiftung Southeast Europe association according to the idea of the Doplgenger artist duo and with the support of the Yugoslav Cinematheque.
